October’s archeology meeting and walk took place on Saturday, 12th October and was led by Alex Whitlock, who took the group from Barrowford along to Water Meetings and further, to the edge of Roughlee, on a fine autumn day. So much to see and think about in a small but beautiful area! Features dating from the industrial era, use of water management and back in time to a potential prehistoric occupation site. We all learned something new; a really interesting day.
